Cat Reviews: The Missing PLAY! by Sephora Boxes

Aloooooha Friends!  As promised, I'm back today with my review of the products I received in the December 2016, January 2017, and February 2017 PLAY! boxes.

Don't let the title mislead you... these boxes weren't missing from the mail or anything, just missing from my blog lol.  I didn't write overviews of these boxes because I was honestly lazy, even though I wasn't even in school during those months because of winter break... so I really don't have any excuses... Sorry :/  But anyways, instead of overviews, you get reviews!  So without further ado... Let's get reviewin'!

December 2016
Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in Always Red
If you're a returning reader to my blog, you're probably aware of the fact that I'm completely in love with Sephora's cream lip stains.  I wear Marvelous Mauve almost everyday, so when I got a TINY sample of a color I don't have I was really excited.  The formula is the same super longlasting formula that I already love, and the color is gorgeous in the tube, on me is a different story...  I personally am not a fan of reds on me because I think I'm a little bit too pale for them, so when I put this red on I got MAF Miranda Sings vibes.  It really is such a beautiful classic red, and maybe I'll try it again when the holidays roll around, but overall, the color just isn't for me.

Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray
AGAIN, if you're a returning reader, you already know that this setting spray is my HG, so of course I was overjoyed when I saw it in the December box.  I don't feel it's necessary for me to write a whole big thing about it because I've raved about it before, but this setting spray really does make your makeup last like FOREVER.  I've worn it to concerts, dances, proms, during the summer in Hawai'i, and to so many other hot, sweat-induced occasions; it's never let me down.  I've stored this little deluxe sample size for when I travel :)

Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo
I'd like to start by saying that most dry shampoos and I are not friends.  I've not found one that I'd welcome into my home and it seems as though I won't be finding one for a while.  I was excited about this dry shampoo because it's Drybar.  I have pretty oily hair, so I actually have to shampoo every day in order to avoid looking disgusting everyday, but I skipped a day just to try this dry shampoo and was thoroughly disappointed.  First off, I felt like it didn't spray anything but air out of the can, and maybe that was the case.  I shook the can like crazy, threw it in the air, threw on my bed, ran around with it, and still it seemed like nothing other than air was coming out.  Maybe I got a faulty can??? Finally it seemed as though something was coming out so I called it a success until I brushed my hair and the white powder WOULD NOT dissipate.  Ya girl brushed and brushed AND BRUSHED her hair *cue Tangled song* and nothing helped.  The scent was also soooooo strong that it was starting to give me a headache, so I basically was ready to throw this in the garbage, but I didn't.  I honestly hated this dry shampoo as it did nothing but cause me problems.

Bobbi Brown Smokey Eye Mascara in Black
Okay so honestly I haven't tried this mascara because I'm super picky with my mascaras and it's really hard for me to find mascaras that work for my super stick straight, downward pointing Asian lashes.  One look at the formula and I knew it wasn't going to do anything good for me so I'm pretty sure it's still in the box somewhere in my house.

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Smoothing Primer
This is another product that I've already raved about on the blog before, and I'm pretty sure it made it into one of my recent Monthly Obsessions.  I've used up the entire little tube of this primer already because I'm actually so in love with it.  It laid a really smooth base for my foundation and actually did a really good job of keeping my foundation on and looking smooth.  Every time I wore this primer I always got so many compliments on my skin.  It did a pretty good job of keeping my oiliness at bay as well.  All in all, I really love this primer and I'll probably buy the full size when I'm not broke lol.

Elizabeth and James Nirvana Bourbon
Honestly I don't even smell most of the perfume samples that come in each month's box because I'm really picky about my scents.  I haven't even smelled this one so I don't know what to tell you, sorry.

January 2017
Tarte FRXXXTION Stick Exfoliating Cleanser
I mentioned this product in my January 2017 Monthly Obsessions, so you can read more about what I liked about it there, but I will say that even though it dried out my skin at first, I actually really like it now (hence why it made a MO).  I actually found that I like to use it on my nose because I have lots of blackheads and it's an area that needs an exfoliant with finer particles, and this is the cleanser for that.  It's helped my nose a lot, but like I mentioned in my January 2017 MOs, my only gripes about it is that I don't see how a cleanser in a stick form like this is sanitary and that it's honestly way too overpriced.  So in conclusion, even though I do like it, I wouldn't drop the $22 on the full sized.

Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
I'm honestly so upset at the product guys.  I was so excited when I saw it in the February box because it's something that I've always wanted to try.  It's one of those cult favorites that I've seen EVERYWHERE so imagine my disappointment when I opened the bullet and found that the lipstick was BROKEN.  I was seriously so upset that I actually emailed PLAY! customer service to see if they would replace it, but the couldn't and gave me 100 Beauty Insider points instead.  That however, did not make me feel any better since I was unable to use the lipstick and also too lazy to fix it (EVEN THOUGH I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO).  Therefore, instead of a review, you got this long rant because I couldn't use it, so I couldn't review it.  Sorry.

Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask with Echinacea GreenEnvy
Ya it has a long ass name lol.  I love getting masks because ya girl is a skincare obsessed crazy person, but I was super disappointed with this mask.  It comes in a little cute glass pot with a lil honeybee on the label.  You're supposed to apply it's stickiness and rub it into your skin until it turns white, then leave it on for some time, then wash off.  The mask is supposed to warm up while you're wearing it and BOY DID IT.  At first I couldn't feel it warming up until after like five minutes it was literally burning my face, especially in my upper lip area, since the breath from my nose was interacting with the mask.  I couldn't last the entire time I was supposed to have it on because it was burning so much, so I washed it off.  It left my skin feeling super sticky and gross, like I rubbed actual honey on my face, that I washed my face again with cleanser because it was just too much. My friend who also received this in her box told me that she wore it while she was taking a hot shower and that it was a big mistake lol.  So once again, this is a product I was ready to throw into the trash. I know there are some (sick) people who enjoy the burning feeling, so maybe this is for you??? But it is DEFINITELY not for me.

Ouai Treatment Masque
A little story about my user error before the review begins... I was really really really excited when I saw this Ouai product in the box because Jenn Atkins, aka the Kardashians' hair stylist created it and if the Kardashians love it, I probably will too.  During this time, I still have my caramel ombre going on and my ends were getting ROUGH, so I was like yes let's slap this mask on, so I followed the super vague instructions and rubbed almost the entire tube into my DRY hair and waited like 10 min, then hopped in the shower and rinsed it off.  It did nothing for my hair and I wanted to cry because KARDASHIANS!!!! But TURNS OUT, you're supposed to apply to damp hair and the instructions did not say that.  Anyways, as for the review, I used what I had left on DAMP hair and it actually do much for my hair.  I think it's because 1) I didn't have enough product left in the tube to really get any results and 2) I couldn't use it more than once to get results.  So long story short, I don't have much to say about it, other than the fact that it smelled SO GOOD, because I couldn't properly test it lol.  It is a pretty pricey product, but I do want to try it out again, so Ouai, if you're reading this, send some Treatment Masques my way because I know how to use it now and I promise I will test it properly this time PLEASE.

AmorePacific Color Control Cushion Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50+
You guys know that I LOVE cushion compacts because they're so convenient and practical but I couldn't use this cushion because it was way too dark for me.  It did feel nice and squishy, just like a cushion pact should so that was good, but that's all I have to say.

Tory Burch Love Relentlessly
Again, here's another perfume sample I didn't smell.  Sorry.

February 2017
Origins GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream
Okay so I actually cannot review this product because I haven't used it because my mother took it from me (and she hasn't used it either???).  I might try to steal it back from her so I can actually test it out, but as of right now, I don't have anything for you.

Sephora Collection LashCraft Length & Volume Mascara
I mentioned above that I generally don't try mascara samples, but this one looked promising so I tried it out and it made my lashes droop in like 0.00001 seconds.  The brush was too big for my tiny eyes, and the formula couldn't hold my curl (the curl that I worked really hard to get).  I did recurl my lashes after the mascara dried and it was ehhhh.  I wore it on one eye and wore my HG Loreal Voluminous Butterfly on the other to compare and I noticed that it did transfer to my bottom lashline before the Loreal one did so in this mini Battle of the Mascaras, the Sephora LashCraft mascara went come without a medal.

Too Faced Lip Injection Glossy in Milkshake
I've heard so many things about Lip Injection as it's been around for a while and was excited and super nervous when I saw it in the box.  It has the reputation of making your lips burn, but I thought it couldn't be too bad as obviously many people love it for it to have stuck around.  UHM I WAS SO WRONG.  I was just sitting at my vanity, doing nothing so I put it over a lipstick that I was already wearing, I forget which one, and waited.  After about ten minutes, my upper lip was on actual fire and I never wiped something off so quickly.  Even after I thoroughly wiped it off and washed my mouth, I could still feel it and my friends tell me it made a difference, and I see it kind of, but it's definitely not worth using again because PAIN.   I generally don't wear glosses because I'm not a fan of the look, and I also don't use lip plumping products since I don't think it's really necessary, but this product literally scarred me.

Clinique Pep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer
I already wrote about this in my most recent Monthly Obsessions.  I think saying I had mixed feelings is the best way for me to talk about it because I loved that it worked as a moisturizer and primer, so it cuts out a step in my makeup routine, but it didn't impress me in terms of oil control.  It however, doesn't claim to control oil, but it is something that I do expect from a non-luminous primer.  It was pretty ehhhh for me so I don't know why it made it to my MOs lol.

NARS Velvet Lip Glide in Bound
GUYS.  When I saw NARS in this box I almost cried because y'all I love NARS products so much, and I almost shed real tears when I saw the color of this lippie.  I immediately wiped off what I already had on and put it on.  The color is GORGEOUS.  It's a color I would wear everyday, but there are two things that is stopping me from doing so: 1) the finish is glossy and I already mentioned how I do not like glossy finishes, so of course I was disappointed, and 2) the formula is not lasting.  I accidentally wiped my mouth on my sleeve and literally all of the lippie transferred cleanly onto my sleeve.  At that point I actually did cry real tears because MY SLEEVE!!!! and my lips no longer had that beautiful color.  I've tried different methods for trying to mattify this lip but nothing works without it ruining the color or with the lipstick just transferring everywhere.  I'm going to cry again just writing about it because I really really REALLY wanted to love this lippie, but I CAN'T AND IT HURTS MY HEART.

Marc Jacobs Fragrances Divine Decadence
Yay, another perfume sample that I haven't even smelled lol. (but don't it look boujee af lol)

And there is my review of all the products I received in the December 2016, January 2017, and February 2017 PLAY! by Sephora boxes!  Sorry I don't smell perfumes, and sorry that there were a few products that I haven't tried, but I hope these were good reviews overall.

Before I close out this post, I just wanted to say a quick HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my fave, Jackson Wang!!!! Even though it's a day early, but not if you're living in Korea time, like me but not really cause I just live like this.  But anyways, Happy Birthday Wang Puppy!! I'm glad you're better and that you're back! I love you :))))

Okay anyways, thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

PLAY! by Sephora: March 2017 Box

Aloooooooha Friends!  It's been a while since I've posted a PLAY! by Sephora box overview because I've honestly been too excited and started using the products right away but I kept my cool this month and took pictures of everything before I went nuts.

I was really really really excited for March's box because the theme is "The Gleam Team" and we all know that means glowy, illuminating products AKA MY LOVES.  As soon as I opened this month's box I basically fainted, so I cannot wait to share the products with you... Lessss gooooooooo! Ohhh and I promise I will write about the December 2017, January, and February 2017 products that I received but didn't overview in a later post, so watch out for that!

So like I already mentioned, this month's theme is "The Gleam Team".  The box came with five products and a perfume that matched the gleam theme, and as always, there was also a pamphlet with product descriptions and this month's PLAY! pass, decorated with photos of iridescent wrappings and stones.  This month's bag is quite reminiscent of the first two PLAY! pouches I received.  It's just a basic white pouch with "Glow Your Own Way" printed in coral on the front, and a mint colored satin ribbon pull.  It's super cute but nothing tops the February 2017 bag (info coming soon!!).  So without further ado... Let's move onto the products! (As always, all links will be to the full sizes!)

"Glow and Tell"
This first product is a two-in-one moisturizer and luminizer that can be worn on it's own or underneath foundation. It claims to hydrate, blur, and enhance "any complexion with a lit-from-within finish".  So I as soon as I saw GLAMGLOW in this box I had a heart attack because their SUPERMUD mask has changed my life.  I immediately swatched it on my hand and it's beautiful and perfect to layer under foundation, but I wouldn't wear it on it's own since it seems a little too lumi by itself.  It also has a pretty strong scent, similar to the GLAMGLOW DREAMDUO scent, which I didn't like. I haven't tried it yet though so I won't toss it aside just yet.
The Specs: 0.24 oz. / 7 ml of product in a squeeze tube

"Has Watt It Takes"
The next product is a personal favorite already.  This Watt's Up! highlighter is already a bestselling product and I'm so happy they included it in this box.  If you're not already familiar with it, it's a highlighting stick that goes on as a cream but dries to a powder.  It's more of a soft-focus finish and it's also perfect for strobing.  Like I said, it's already a personal favorite but I'm still happy I get to use it again!
The Specs: 2.5 g / Net Wt. 0.08 oz of product in stick form

"The Surreal Deal"
So I'm so perplexed by this product.  It's my first Josie Maran product, so of course I was out of this world excited but according to the pamphlet, you can use it as either the first or last step in your makeup routine, meaning as primer or as a finisher???  I can't imagine rubbing a balm on top of foundation but I'm eager/nervous to try it.  Josie Maran is known for argan oil, so of course it's in this product too!
The Specs: 3 g / Net Wt. 0.1 oz. of product in a little pot

"A Gliding Light"
No lie, when I first saw this in my box, I thought Sephora went crazy and gave the Laura Mercier shadow stick again, BUT IT'S NOT!!!  It's a cream, waterproof shadow stick that claims to easily blend without tugging and wear flake-free.  The pamphlet does recommend starting with primer, as well as mentioning that you can use it as an eyeshadow or as a highlighter.  Being that I use the LM shadow stick everyday however, I couldn't help but to compare it and I noticed that it's a similar color and the formula seems similar as well.. but we'll see!
The Specs: No weight specs, product comes in a twist up stick form (basically exactly the same as the LM shadow stick lololol)

"Hair We Go!"
So before I talk about the product description, I want to mention the fact that this is a FULL TRAVEL SIZED product that retails AT SEPHORA for $15.  I was appalled when I saw it in the box and thought it might've been a mistake, but I ain't complaining... Anyways... This is a weightless spray that "delivers long-lasting volume and texture for thicker, fuller-looking hair that is silky-soft".  It's baaaaasically a dry shampoo that claims to provide more volume, without calling itself a dry shampoo.  I'm not really into dry shampoo/hair refreshing products since I wash my hair every day, but I'm excited to see if it really provides the volume it claims.
The Specs: 95 mL / 84 g / 3.0 oz aerosol can

This Month's Perfume Pick: "Fleur the Fun of It"
Directly from the PLAY! pamphlet: An infusion of rose petals and fresh notes of verbena soften by freesia create a lighthearted yet luxurious fragrance.  I haven't smelled this yet, because generally I'm a more fruity floral and this seems like a straight up floral, but I know the original Chloé perfume is very popular, so I'm excited to try this!
Fragrance Family: Floral
Top Notes: Lemon essence, absolute verbena, freesia
Middle Notes: Rose, cherry blossom
Base Notes: White cedar essence, bitter almond, amber
The Specs: 0.04 fl oz. / 1.2 ml glass spray bottle

And that is all the products in my March 2017 PLAY! by Sephora box!  I love these highlighting/glowy/illuminating themes because I'm obsessed with any product that illuminates. Sorry that I haven't shared one of these in a while, but I promise to try to control myself and take photos of the products before I use them all up.  I'll be writing about what I thought about the December 2016, January 2017, and February 2017 boxes in a coming post so keep an eye out for it! As always, thank you for reading!

Cat Reviews: Flight Log: Arrival by GOT7

안녕 FRIENDS!  I'm honestly crying as I write this because the time has finally come for me to review GOT7's (aka my boyfriend and his friends) new album... FLIGHT LOG: ARRIVAL.

The album came out a week ago exactly, and I honestly needed time to digest it before I could sit down and write this review.  But yes that is right, these weirdos finally got off the year long flight to basically nowhere.  I'm so excited (but also kind of nervous???) to be writing this review.  If you're new to my blog (WELCOME!!!), you're probably not aware that I love the GOT7 boys with my whole heart (like since JJ Project was a thing) and Mark Tuan is my boyfriend.  That being said, you already know this review is extremely biased, but I will always try my best to be as honest with you as I possibly can.  Now let's get started...

An Overview and Album Artwork:
This album is the last installment of the Flight Log trilogy and of course was well anticipated by Ahgases and non-Ahgases alike.  It features eight songs, 7 of which were written by the boys themselves.  The title track is "Never Ever" which was produced by J.Y. Park PD; this song is the first produced by him for GOT7 since "딱 좋아 (Just Right)" but don't quote me on that.  As for the physical album, which I ordered by don't have yet, there are two versions, a Never version (tan/blush) and an Ever version (green).  Each album comes with one of four clear covers (and if you get all four covers, you can combine them to get the full color cover photo) as well as three photobooks, three photocards, a poster, an Arrival card (idk what that is), and of course the CD.  It's bigger than the Turbulence album, but I don't know exactly how big because I don't have it yet...  In terms of album artwork, the physical album looks like the first photo above, but if you have the digital version of the album, the album artwork looks like the second photo.  Sadly, there are no individual covers for this album, but its honestly kind of nice because y'all don't know how much I struggled to get Mark's Turbulence cover... but I did include the member's individual photos at the end of this post because I couldn't resist, but for now... :)

The Songs:
1. Never Ever
Never Ever is the title track.  You can watch the music video and the choreography music video here. I love Never Ever so much.  When GOT7 teased the crap outta this album, I didn't expect the song to sound like this but I immediately fell in love with it.  It has such a good beat and the choreo... THE CHOREO!!!!! (you can enjoy the music video on the side bar ;))

2. Shopping Mall
I made fun of Shopping Mall when I first heard the title because I immediately thought of Robin Sparkles's "Let's Go To the Mall" but this song is not like that at all.  Of course I got a sneak peak of it when GOT7 released episode one of GOT7ing+ but the completed version is honestly so good. Defsoul oppa (lololol), Jackson, Mark, and BamBam participated in writing this song and I totally get their vibes from this song.  It quickly became one of my favorite songs on this album and I'm sad KBS banned it (literally for no reason lmao).  Also they plagarized "shy shy shy" from TWICE but I ain't complaining cause I don't like TWICE tbh (don't ask me why).

3. Paradise
This song is serious so so so sooooooo good guys.  Jinyoung oppa did it again.  It just has such a good vibe, like it's the kind of song where you want to drive along the coast in a convertible with your air blowing in the wind, arms up in the air.  Mark's narration murdered me.  Also, thank you Jinyoung for letting Bam say Double B before his verse because that gives me life.

4. Sign
CHOI. YOUNG. JAE. OUR ARS OPPA EVERYONE. This boy sure knows how to write a damn good song.  It's an amazing slow jam and I can honestly see Gyeom Brown dancing to it in the way he does.  Also they performed this at their showcase and I threw a party for Youngjae because I love to celebrate his accomplishments.  Bascially, I cannot put into words how incredible this song is so you're just going to have to go listen to it yourself.

5. Go Higher
Okay so honesty time... I didn't really like Go Higher when I first heard it.  I felt like it didn't fit the general vibe of the album.  Don't get me wrong though, it's a really good song, like Defsoul oppa can literally write anything, but it's not really my style.  I know JB wrote is to be like a "club song" and I feel.  That being said, the fact that it's not my favorite won't stop me from jamming whenever it comes on.  Also Bam's verse kills.

6. Q
I will start by saying that this is seriously my favorite song on the entire album.  Since I heard it on the album spoiler, I knew it was going to be my favorite.  Of course, I'm a sucker for cutesy love jams like this but hOW COULD YOU NOT LOVE IT.  Defsoul oppa, I'm sorry I didn't like Go Higher but you redeemed yourself with Q.  Also like can we talk about how Mark kinda sings in this song like THANK GOOOOD.  But ya, basically I'm so obsessed with this song that I literally only listened to it on repeat for like two days after the album came out.  I love it so much guys fnjraghlflrueahgirueah (i know all the words already) (^^ those are not the words lol)

7.  양심잆이 (Don't Care)
This song is the song that was playing in the background of all the Instagram teaser videos and because I heard it seven times before I heard the entire song, I expected a lot from it.  It did not disappoint.  It's another one of my favorites from this album and SURPRISE Kim Yugyeom wrote it. Yes, he wrote this baby making bop (sorry mom).  It definitely feels very Gyeom-y and I love it. ALSO MARK BASICALLY SINGS IN THIS SONG AND YALL ALREADY KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT HIM OKAY.

8. OUT
When I first saw the tracklist for this album, I was like omg no Jackson nooo and all I kept thinking about was how Jackson is going to be like "I'M OUT!!!" basically the entire time during this song and I wasn't wrong, but I was also pleasantly surprised.  OUT sounds exactly like how I expected it to but also 100x better.  It's a feel good song that's fun to listen and dance to.  So to Jackson: I'm sorry I judged you too soon ily.  Also, they totally plagarized AGAIN with "This is How We Do It" but ya know lol.

Picking Favorites:
Y'all already know that "Q" is my favorite song on this album, but as always, here are my favorites from most to not as much:
1. Q
2. Shopping Mall
3. 양심잆이 (Don't Care)
4. Sign
5. Never Ever
6. Paradise
7. OUT
8. Go Higher

Final Thoughts:
I'm sad that the Flight Log era is ending because it was honestly one of the greatest flights of my life. As I mentioned earlier, I was highly anticipating this album and it did not disappoint.  I'm very satisfied with the fact that I spent a lot of money on these albums (cause I bought both versions) and I can't wait to get them (let me know if you want me to do an unboxing post).  Of course I'm biased when it comes to GOT7 but in all honesty, they never fail to impress me with how talented they are, also not to forget that they're also incredible people irl as well.  I'm really glad I stan such a talented and caring group.  Lastly, I want to mention that even though I love this album, it's still not my favorite album, Turbulence is still my number one and will probably be for the rest of my life.  I still love Arrival a lot and will continue to listen to it until the day I die.

As always, thank you so much for reading!  Let me know your thoughts about Flight Log: Arrival in the comments for tweet me @thecaitlynlee or whatevs.  Please always continue to support mah boiz and buy Flight Log: Arrival!!!

Monthly Obsessions: February 2017

Aloha Friends!  It's been a while since I've blogged and it's because school hit me like a freakin truck in February.
Nonetheless, I wanted to come back and share my February Monthly Obsessions, even though they're a little late.  GOT7, aka my boyfriend's group is having their comeback and March has been STRESSFUL for me. I don't have too many makeup obsessions this time, but have lots of skincare! (Also this post was supposed to go up last Monday, aka I started writing it on Sunday but then didn't finish so I was like okay it'll go up Wednesday but then... But ya at least I posted it lol) Soooo anyways, let's get into it!

Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer
So you guys know that I've always sworn by my HG Too Faced Chocolate Soleil bronzer, but I received Hoola as a Christmas gift (so I've been using it for a solid two months now!!) and I'm changed.  Hoola is a lot more pigmented than Chocolate Soleil, which means less is more and that you can be a little more light handed with it, which is something I prefer.  It blends like a DREAM and is honestly the perfect contour shade for me right now.  I think I have a new HG guys...

NYX Slim Lip Pencil in Ever
To be very honest, I've had this lip pencil in my makeup drawer for a long af time now, but never really wore it, UNTIL NOW!  I don't know why, but one day I grabbed for this lip pencil, probably thinking it was another lip pencil, and put it on.  I was really surprised how it good it looked on me like DANG GURL and I've been wearing it almost every day since.  It's supposed to be a duper for MAC's Soar lip pencil, aka the pencil that Kylie Jenner was famous for using, which is probably why I bought it in the first place, because ya girl isn't a huge fan of Kylie, but she's a huge fan of her makeup.  Sorry for going third person there lol... but anyways, my only bone to pick with this pencil is that I wish it was better formulated.  It's a little dry which makes it difficult to apply.  The color lasts but it can be really drying on my lips after a full day of wear.  However overall, I still really love this pencil and the color.

BH Cosmetics Pretty in Pink Brush Set
It's a little known fact that I am actually obsessed with makeup brushes.  I will buy them every chance I get, and for a while, I've been eyeing BH Cosmetics brushes.  I've heard tons of good things about them so I decided to buy a brush set - and omg am I glad I did.  These brushes are the softest and nicest quality brushes I have in my collection - that being said, I don't have a lot of expensive brushes like MAC or Sigma to compare them to.  The quality of these brushes are AMAZING and they're also soooo beautiful!  The ferrel is rose gold (MY FAVE!!) and the handles are a painted blush pink (ANOTHER FAVE!!!).  Every brush in the set is super soft and easy to work with.  Oh! And every set comes with a gorgeous metallic pink pouch, so if you're looking for quality brushes for a lower price definitely try out BH!

Clinique Prep-Start HydroBlur Moisturizer
I've been looking for a good primer so long guys.  It's been a real struggle, until I got this Clinique moisturizer in my February PLAY! by Sephora box.  It's a dual moisturizer/primer and I love that because ya girl is desert face but also oily af.  This moisturizer/primer does a really good job of keeping my skin moisturized, but also amazing at making sure my makeup stays put.  I wouldn't say it does a great job of keeping my oily areas at bay, but I can tell it does try it's best.  I really recommend this if you're a fellow combo skin sista, but if you're on the drier skin side because like I said, I don't see it doing a whole lot in terms of oil control, but it's still pretty good.

Garnier SKINACTIVE Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream
I've mentioned time and time again that my HG moisturizer is Clinique's Moisture Surge, but the price tag is quite steep, which is why I'm always on the hunt for a more affordable dupe and I think I've found it.  This Garnier moisturizer is similar in formula to Clinique's, just as moisturizing, and about $30 less, all of which are green lights for me.  I don't know if it's because I live in San Francisco, where it's always cold, but every time I use this moisturizer, it's always cold, which is something I don't really mind.  Maybe it's just me???

Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil
I recently shared my skincare routine, where I mentioned how I double cleanse with an oil cleanser and then follow up with a non-oil cleanser.  At the time I was using the extremely overpriced Esteé Edit oil cleanser, but have since run out and have been on the search for a cheaper alternative.  I bought this Neutrogena oil cleanser after just seeing it on the shelf in my local Bed Bath and Beyond and decided to try it out... and it is AMAZING.  I love it 100000x more than the Esteé Edit cleanser because it really breaks down my makeup and cleanses my face.  IT EVEN BREAKS DOWN WATERPROOF MASCARA WITH EASE.  I'm generally not one for scented facial products, but this oil cleanser has a really light green apple Jolly Rancher scent and I love it.  It's honestly the best oil cleanser I've tried and I'm pretty sure there is no need for me to try anything else ever again.

TonyMoly Panda's Dream White Magic Cream
MOOOOOORE SKINCARE!!!!! It is no secret that I am obsessed with Korean skincare products and always buy 10000 new things when I have money, but the best part about buying things is getting free samples!  I got a sample of this TonyMoly whitening cream in a package one day and I fell in love.  I've always been skeptical of whitening products because I'm pale enough, but once I tried it, I understand why people use it and needed to buy the full size.  My skin has always been patchy and red in certain areas but not in others, and this whitening cream helped to even out my skintone.  It's helped my skin look brighter (and we all know how much I love brightening products!!!) and just look healthier overall.  I haven't noticed any skin lightening per say, maybe because I just can't be any lighter than I already am, but I can definitely see a difference in the evenness of my skintone.

TonyMoly Panda's Dream So Cool Eye Stick
So when I bought the White Magic Cream mentioned above, I decided to purchase the bundle that came with the So Cool Eye Stick as well and I'm so happy I did.  It really doesn't do anything special, but I love to use it when my eyes are tired because the cooling sensation helps me to feel more awake.  The So Cool Eye Stick is basically an eye serum in a stick form, which is really convenient for days when I know I'm going to be out for a while and would need something to wake up my eyes. I love this eye stick because I can apply it even if I have makeup on and it won't disturb my makeup, but I especially love it in the mornings when I have to wake up early for class and my eyes feel super heavy (especially because I had cup ramyun the night before...).

L'oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Smooth Intense Polishing Conditioner
About a month ago, I chopped off my beautiful caramel-blonde locks because they were starting to look dull, meaning I needed to switched out my color protecting conditioner for something different. I've always had frizzy hair issues so I was looking for something that could tame my crazy mane and came across this L'oreal conditioner.  I honestly just picked it up to smell, fell in love, then bought it, but then fell in love AGAIN when I used it and discovered that it actually did wonders for my hair. It's made it so manageable and soft, so that I can not brush my hair in the morning and get away with it... but anyways, this conditioner is MY LIFE and I will continue to buy it until I die.

Barbara's Snackimals Animal Cookies - Chocolate Chip
You're probably thinking "Caitlyn what the actual fuuu...." but I am a child when it comes to food.  If you put any adult-appropriate cracker and animal cookies in front of me, I will pick the animal cookies 100000% of the time.  I found these in my school's lil grocery thingy and bought them just for the LOLs but actually ended up really liking them.  They're organic (because Jackson propagated myself and thousands of other people to eat organic foods) but they're still so yummy and they have real chocolate chips in them, not just brown spots lol.  They also make a double chocolate version that I will hunt down next (tell me if you know where I can find them).

And that, my friends, are my Monthly Obsessions of February 2017!  There weren't a lot of makeup related products and I apologize, I've honestly just been waaaay more into skincare lately.  Still, I hope that maybe you've found a product or products on this post that you'd like to try out!  Let me know what you think if you do!  Thanks so much for reading and good luck to my fellow Ahgases during GOT7's comeback.  I will be dead for a while.

With Love,
Caitlyn <3
