Hello Friends and Happy Friday! Keeping with my promise to post at least twice a week, here I am! And today I have a very special blogpost! I love Christmas more than anything in the world, other than One Direction of course, and Christmas decorations are my favoritest thing. That is why I am here to share with you all my Christmas dorm decor! I started decorating my (half of my) dorm room as soon as November 1st came around, and I'm completely in love.
Now if you're not like me, you're probably thinking, "Why did you decorate so early?? What about Thanksgiving??" and I actually have a really valid reason as to why I decorated so early. First and foremost, I LOVE CHRISTMAS, but that isn't the most important reason. Because I'm only going to spend about two weeks of December in school before we go on break, I wanted to spend as much time as I can with my decorations before I have to take them down and go home. I will of course, bring my decorations home and decorate my room at home with them. As for the question about Thanksgiving, to be very honest, it isn't as important to me as Christmas. Hate me all you want, but that's just me. Just be happy that I didn't actually start listening to Christmas music until December 1st, but if you're wondering what Christmas music I love, head on over to the lefthand side where you can listen to my Christmas Playlist! All the songs included in the playlist are exactly what I am listening to 24/7.
Oh also look at how much effort I put into the title photo this time wow.
Moving along...
Most of the decorations I have were bought this year, but some are older too. I'll do my best to include links to the things I can find. That being said, LET'S GET STARTED!
*I'm not going to link anything from the dollar store because those are super easy to find soz.*
Here is an overview of my side of my room, beautifully decorated for the most wonderful time of the year! As you can tell, I don't have much space to work with, but I made it work.

There is a white board on the door, and it's boring and ugly so I bought this cute super thin garland that had little presents on it from the dollar store and wrapped it around the white board. I drew Ariel and Cinderella on there a while ago, and obvs you can tell I'm Ariel because she's Christmas AF. Anyways, I also bought the glittery bow from the dollar store as well. It was really really cheap and the glitter falls off everywhere so I thought it was best for it to be on the outside of the door... It's supposed to be an ornament but that's a huge af ornament. (And yes, the theme of our floor is Inside Out. Cute AF right? And yes I covered my roommate's name cause that's her life not mine.)
I also have this gorgeous green and silver garland from the dollar store (again) around the door frame. It took forever to put up because I'm short. I really like how it turned out. I definitely have the most Christmas AF door on my entire floor lol. (I literally could not get a good photo of this for my life. This was the best I could do soz)
Next is my desk!
I bought this mini Christmas tree last year from Home Depot and of course it had to come with me to college. This was the first piece of Christmas that I brought with me. Last year I decorated it with ornaments that had little faces of One Direction and 5SOS and Luke as the tree top and the tree is pre-lit with warm white lights, but I changed it up a little this year and only left a few faces, as you can see here...
I had some leftover garland from around the door frame so I used it as a little tree skirt-ish type thing and took the leftover presents from the present garland and put them under the tree. Cute right??
*Unfortunately they don't sell the exact one I have but here are some links to similar ones: Amazon / Target (not pre-lit)
So that's all the decorations on my desk. If you watched my dorm tour (but if you haven't you can click here!), you'd know that I have photos of my friends on the wall in the shape of a heart, but for Christmas, I changed it up and moved them into the shape of a tree! (yeah I covered faces too cause their life not mine!)
It was really cool because I hadn't seen any photos of this having been done so I literally had no direction while doing this. I ended up having the perfect amount of photos and it turned out pretty dang good. I'm proud. I'm just missing a little star but there will never be a star because I'm too lazy lol.Moving onto... LIGHTS!
Here you can see all the lights. Again, it you watched my dorm tour, you know that I had those string lights up but I added the little red bows for a Christmas-y effect. I didn't expect it to be as cute as it is. I also bought the white ball lights from Target. If you look up close, you'd see that they're rose balls, but since you can't tell from afar, I like to tell people that they're (more appropriately) snowballs. Here you can kind of tell they're roses but not really so they're snowballs.
Continuing onto my Merry Christmas garland!
I bought this banner from Target, expecting it to be gold because that's what the description says, but when I came, I was pleasantly surprised that I was actually rose gold. I love rose gold so it was a positive turnout for me. I also didn't expect it to be metal, but it's my bad because I should've read the description. It's a lot heavier than it looks and as you can tell, it hangs over where I lay my head down to sleep, so every night I say a little prayer that it doesn't fall down and kill me in my sleep. Despite that, I actually really love it.
Next to my banner, I have this cute paper star.
Yes! It's paper! I bought this from Target as well. It has little holes all over it so you can put a light inside. I don't have a light to put inside of it, so it just hangs there. I like it though. It's fallen down on me a few times but it's paper so it isn't lethal :)Moving onto my bookshelf...
Again, I bought this silver garland from the dollar store. I wrapped it around the bookshelf and bam, that's it. I also bought this cute white ribbon with little silver details and lined the edge of the shelve. As you can tell it's started to look jank but oh well.
I also bought this garland penguin from Target.
I honestly hate it. I love penguins but it looked so much cuter on the website. I'm too lazy to return it though so it's staying.
The last addition to my Christmas decor was this cute little pillow.
Okay, I get it doesn't look that small in the photo but it's actually kind small. I got it from the dollar spot in Target (aka the best place in Target) but it wasn't a dollar, it was $3, but it's was worth it. I really wanted a Christmas pillow but all the nice ones were REALLY expensive, so I just settled on this little one. *also no link for this one. I couldn't find it :/*
And that is all my christmas dorm decor! As you can tell, I love garland and Target lol. I hope that this inspired you to decorate your dorm or room or house or whatever. It's never too late and remember that the dollar store has a lot of really good stuff. Target is great too! Here's one last view of my room.
As always, thanks for reading! Please share your Christmas decor photos with me! It's my most favoritest thing ever! Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays everyone!Love, Cat
